Rear extension and internal alterations to a house in Teddington

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the tender set for our latest project, which involves a rear extension and internal alterations to a house located in Teddington, within the Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Our clients, a young and enthusiastic couple, approached us earlier this year with a vision to redesign and extend the ground floor of their end of terrace property. One of the key aspects of the project was to address the presence of a poorly constructed non-original side return conservatory. We took this opportunity to propose the demolition of the conservatory and the creation of a well-designed, larger extension that seamlessly integrates with the existing floor plan, creating a spacious kitchen and dining area.
Throughout the design process, we closely collaborated with the structural engineer to devise a structural opening that would not only connect the middle room but also ensure the stability and cohesion of the new extension. Additionally, our proposals also include the relocation of a bathroom to the first floor level, creating a more functional layout for the property.
Utilizing permitted development rights, we were able to carry out our detail design work while awaiting confirmation from the local council regarding the legality of our extension. This strategic decision allowed us to expedite the project timeline, resulting in a swift completion time of approximately three and a half months.
We are excited to witness the progress of this project and are confident that the end result will exceed the expectations of our clients. Stay tuned for more updates as this project develops.
